Members and invitations
Invite people, organize them with tags and groups, change roles and moderate.
- Invite membersThe three ways to bring people into the community (email invite, New Member and open sign-up), who can invite and with which role, what each person receives, and the catch with bulk invites.
- Manage membersThe member list, filters and search, editing someone's profile, changing their role, adding tags and groups, removing someone from the community, and the rules about who can change whom.
- TagsFree-form labels on profiles to organize and filter members, with a name and a color. How to add, rename, merge and delete them, the limits, the automatic speaker tag, and the difference between a tag and a group.
- Groups and org chartGroups split the community into classes, teams and departments; they can nest inside each other, have a leader, be everyone's default group and open spaces. The org chart shows who reports to whom.
- GamificationThe Gamification tab in Members, for the owner and admins. How to turn the community's points on and off, how much each action is worth, what happens to points already earned and how it differs from the Global Ranking.
- Activity logsThe Logs tab in Members, for the owner and the admin. The timeline of who did what in the community (the team on subscriptions, AI assistants and members who earn points), the filters, the details of each entry and what never shows up.
- ModerationWhat the team can do with content and with people (edit, delete, pin, remove), who can do what, the approval queue, and how to set community guidelines that work.
- Sign-up and accessWho can create an account in the community, guest access, how sign-up and sign-in work, the invite link, the temporary password, password recovery and the security emails.
