Releases

Courses get the Showcase, the cover format, “Continue where you left off” and the “My content” view; verifying your own Resend account works again, and Memberfy now keeps the 6-month access record that Brazil's Marco Civil requires.

What's new

  • Showcase for Courses. Courses spaces have a new Showcase display: a grid of upright covers, like a movie catalog, with the progress bar under the cover and the Course completed badge under the title for anyone who finished. Pick it in Display when creating or editing the space. See Showcase.
  • Cover format. In the course form, the cover can be Banner (3:1, the usual default), Poster (2:3, made for the Showcase) or Video (16:9); the upload is cropped to the chosen format. Existing courses stay on Banner. See Cover format.
  • "Continue where you left off". At the top of the course list, anyone who has started a course sees the ones in progress and goes straight back to the lesson where they stopped and, in a video lesson, to that point in the video. See "Continue where you left off".
  • "My content". The course list has a new My content view, with the courses the person is enrolled in and the ones their plan or a purchase already unlocked, even before enrolling. See My content.
  • More alternatives guides on the website. The Alternatives section of the Memberfy website now has guides for Skool, MemberKit, Hotmart Club, Mighty Networks, Discord, Nexudus and Qulture.Rocks, with published prices, sources and the date they were checked.

Improvements

  • Membership end date on the group screen too. When you open a group, Valid until sits under the people search and applies to whoever you add; each person shows the date they leave, and the owner and the admin change or remove it right there. See Groups and org chart.
  • Clearer Terms of use. The Terms of use now say what happens to the account of someone under the minimum age, and that the team's internal notes are not included in your data file; access to them is requested from the community. See Download your data.
  • Age confirmation is now required. Confirming age is now required on sign-up, on the request to join, on the first password from an invite or import and on paid purchases, through the API as well (without the field, the response is 400). Existing members do not confirm again. See Minimum age.
  • Access record. As Brazil's Marco Civil da Internet requires, Memberfy now keeps, for 6 months, the IP, the day and the first and last time of access of each person, through the app and the AI assistant. No one in the community sees this data. See How long data is kept, which now also lists the legal periods for payments, time tracking and payee verification.
  • Your access history in your data file. The Download your data file now includes acessos.csv, with your access over the last 6 months: day, IP and first and last time.
  • Cleaner composer. Turn off comments now lives inside More options, collapsed, when posting in the Feed and when creating or editing a post; Schedule post stays in view. When a post already has comments off, More options opens on its own. See Turn off comments.
  • Video integrations guide. The new Video integrations article has the step by step for Bunny Stream, Cloudflare Stream, Panda Video and HLS, in lessons and posts, and the signing key. The Feed and Content articles now list these providers.
  • A shorter website footer. The Memberfy website footer is much shorter, and on a phone each group of links opens and closes. Each group leads to a page that gathers everything in its category, like the new Solutions page, with the kinds of organization Memberfy serves.
  • New privacy and security controls.

Fixes

  • Verifying your own Resend account. Verifying your own Resend account (Business and up) works again: the test e-mail reaches whoever clicked Verify, and the account turns active when Resend confirms delivery. See Sending through your Resend account.
  • Call for papers tracks. Saving a Call for papers with a track named like another one, even a track already removed, no longer fails: the new track is saved with an address of its own.
  • Side menu on phones. The side menu on phones shows everything without having to hide the browser's address bar: the Administration section at the bottom of the menu shows as soon as it opens.
  • Closed communities. Subscriptions of a closed community are no longer charged and no longer send billing notices. "Your access is ending" notices no longer go out from a closed community either.
  • Points adjustments in the Logs. In the Logs, points adjustments and the other gamification actions now show a readable name.

For developers

API

  • API keys: they now reach scheduled posts (content), member referrals (members), points (gamification) and the public community summary (community); video integrations, sending through the Resend account, privacy requests, the side menu and the welcome screens do not accept keys. See Authentication › API key.
  • GET /api/courses/continue: the person's courses in progress, with the lesson to open now and the point in the video (resumeAt); only courses they can still open. See Courses.
  • GET /api/menu/counters: what is new since the last visit in each Feed, Content and Events space, with the sum per section; a space the person cannot open does not count. See Side menu.
  • coverFormat (BANNER, POSTER, VIDEO) on POST and PUT /api/courses; layout: "showcase" (Showcase) on Courses spaces; appearance.navigation.sidebarDefault (full or rail) on PATCH /api/communities/appearance. The Courses screens are live in the app; the compact sidebar screen is coming to communities.

MCP: technical details

  • list_my_courses_in_progress: "Where did I stop?" ({"limit":1}), followed by get_course to open the lesson. See Tools · Courses.
  • list_space_updates: what is new in your spaces (include_zero: true also lists the ones up to date); reading through the assistant does not reset the counter. See Tools · Community.
  • create_course and update_course take cover_format; create_space and update_space take layout: "showcase", Courses only; update_community_appearance takes sidebar_default (full or rail), with confirmation.
