Releases
People on a company's team now see what they get through it, with plans, content and credits, and the billing page says when access comes from the company. "Resident companies" become just "companies", a record that works for any community. Sales gets abandoned carts, with an optional recovery e-mail, and subscriptions show since when they are past due.
Whoever works at one of the community's companies now knows, without asking the front desk, what the company pays for them. And the companies record no longer talks about "residents": it works for a coworking space, an association, a customer community or any other.
Employees see what they get through the company
What it is. People on a company's team see what they get through the company: plans, content and credits. The What you get through your company card shows up for every employee, not only the company admin, with the company's active plans and products, the spaces and content each one unlocks and the company credits the person can use, with a notice when a batch is about to expire. No prices and no billing: those stay with the company admin.
Why it matters. Before, employees only saw the team and did not know what was included. Now they know the meeting room is paid with company credits and the course is already unlocked, without asking the front desk and without subscribing again to what the company already pays for.
Where it is. In My company › Team, in the account menu. On the Billing page, people with access through a company see the Through your company {name} card at the top, with the company's plans and the See my company link.
How to start.
- Register the company and its offers in Administration › Members, Companies tab.
- The company admin buys a plan in My company › Purchase.
- Each employee opens My company and sees what they have.
Example. Acme subscribes to the Private office monthly plan, which unlocks the wall and the meeting rooms and gives 20 credits a month. João, an Acme employee, opens My company and sees the plan, both spaces and the company's 20 credits, 5 of them expiring at the end of the month. See Companies.
What's new
- A lifetime 100% coupon now unlocks plans, for companies too. A 100% coupon with a forever duration closes a plan purchase with no payment, through Get it free, and renewals charge nothing while the coupon covers them. It works for a person and for a company: the company admin buys through the company checkout with the coupon, and the confirmation says "Purchased for {company}". With a once or repeating duration, checkout refuses the plan and asks for a card. A one-off product with 100% works as before. See 100% coupon.
- Abandoned carts in Sales, with an optional recovery e-mail. In Monetization › Sales, the Sales | Abandoned switch shows who opened the checkout of a paid product and did not buy within an hour (PIX and boleto wait for their own deadline), with the contact, the product, the amount and the chosen payment method; whoever pays within 7 days shows as Recovered, with the amount. The owner and admin can turn on Send recovery e-mail (it comes off): one e-mail per cart, with the Resume purchase button, never sent to whoever unsubscribed or already got the failure notice for that order. Carts are deleted 90 days after the abandonment. See Abandoned carts.
Improvements
- Companies stop being "resident companies": the record works for any community. A company is just a name and a team, with a company admin; coworking became an optional block, turned on with the Coworking switch ("Company in the coworking space: type, offers, billing and dates."). Nothing changes in what is already registered. See Companies.
- Subscriptions show since when they are past due. In Members › Subscriptions, a past-due subscription shows Past due since, and the timeline records each time it goes into and out of past due with the reason (no card, expired card, declined card, retries exhausted or reported by the processor) and Payment settled when it comes back. Subscribers see the same in Billing, in the Late payment history. See Past due.
- Abandoned cart data is now in the terms of use. The Personal data section says what is kept, what for, on what legal basis and for how long. See Terms of use.
Fixes
- The unpaid renewal notice is also sent when the processor reports the past due. Before, when it was the payment processor that marked the subscription as past due, the subscriber did not get the "We could not renew …" e-mail.
- A canceled or expired subscription no longer goes back to "past due". Before, a late notice from the processor or the automatic charge could mark as past due a subscription that had already ended.
- The "On this page" index in articles shows apostrophes, quotes and "&" correctly. Before, section titles with these characters showed codes such as
'in the index instead of the apostrophe. - The reply counter and "Edit" on comments show in your language. Before, a comment's reply count and the Edit menu item stayed in Portuguese in every language.
- Account details say they apply to this community. Before, the member edit dialog labeled name, e-mail and phone as (Global) and My Account said the information was shared across all communities; since each community has its own account, that was no longer true. See Account and profile.
