Payouts
How to transfer the available balance to the community's account, the 0.25% + US$ 0.25 payout fee, the US$ 10.00 minimum, the most you can pay out (without what is reserved for refunds), each request's status, how to cancel and what to do when it fails.
A payout moves the community's Available for Payout to the registered bank account. You decide when and how much.
In reais (communities in Brazil), the payout goes to the bank the moment you confirm, with no manual approval, and the bank account receives exactly the amount requested. The R$ 3.67 payout fee comes out of the balance, on top of the amount. The maximum is the smaller of the statement's Available for Payout and the balance of the community's payout account, with the amount plus the fee fitting in it; above that, the message says the most you can request. The credit is expected the next business day, and the payout stays Processing until the bank confirms it. If it fails, the amount and the fee go back to the balance, with the reason, and Memberfy can retry it as a new payout. A community whose payout account isn't active can't request payouts or sell in reais: "This community cannot receive payments yet: its payout account is not active." The minimum payout (R$ 10.00 in reais) applies, and the payout dialog says how much is still pending or held.
What it's for
Sales stay in the community's balance until you request a payout. That lets you choose the pace: once a month, to pay a single fee; or every week, if your cash flow needs it.
How it works
Before the first payout
The community needs approved Business Information and payout account. Without them, the request is refused: "Complete Business Information first" or "Configure your Bank Account first".
The payout fee
0.25% + US$ 0.25 per payout, added to the amount requested and debited from the balance. It is per transfer, not per sale: if you pay out once a month, you pay the fee once that month. On a US$ 100.00 payout, the fee is US$ 0.50.
Bientôt Coming to communities, together with selling in dollars: the payout fee in dollars, 0.25% + US$ 0.25 per payout, and the dollar payout examples on this page. Today no community sells or pays out in dollars.
How much you can pay out
Only Available for Payout can be paid out. What is still Pending (sales that haven't reached their release date, 30 days after payment) and Retained (the chargeback reserve) don't go out: they become available on their dates. See Balance and statement.
The minimum is US$ 10.00 per payout (R$ 10.00 in reais). Below it, the request is refused: "The minimum payout is US$ 10.00."
The amount has at most 2 decimal places (the cents). With more, such as 100.505, the request is refused and nothing is rounded: "Enter the payout amount with at most 2 decimal places."
Refunds waiting for balance also come out of the available amount. The balance has to cover the amount and the fee. So the maximum is a little less than the available amount: "Available: US$ 1,000.00. Maximum payout: US$ 997.26, since the balance also covers the fee." The Withdraw the maximum button fills in that amount.
Refunds waiting for balance
When the community refunds a buyer by card or PIX and the receiving account doesn't have the balance for its part yet, the refund stays Pending: waiting for balance and goes out on its own when balance comes in. Until then, that amount is reserved and not available for payout: the maximum payout already comes without it, and the Request payout dialog warns "US$ 92.01 reserved for refunds waiting for balance: not available for payout." A request above the maximum says, in the refusal, how much was reserved. See Refunds and disputes.
Statuses
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Pending | Request recorded. It can still be canceled |
| Processing | The transfer is under way |
| Completed | The money has gone to your account |
| Failed | The transfer didn't happen (for example, invalid bank details). The amount and the fee go back to the balance, with the reason |
| Canceled | You canceled it before processing |
The status shows where the payout is; it stays Processing until the bank confirms it.
Canceling
A Pending payout can be canceled; the amount and the fee go back to the balance. Once the transfer has started, it can't.
Who can
Request and cancel: owner and admin. Finance sees payouts and the history, but can't request them.
Payout dates and times, in the history, follow the community's time zone, not the viewer's.
Step by step: request a payout
Role: owner or admin.
- Open Monetization › Dashboard and click Request Payout.
- The Request payout dialog shows what is available, the maximum and the minimum ("Available: US$ 1,000.00. Maximum payout: US$ 997.26, since the balance also covers the fee. Minimum: US$ 10.00."). If there are sales still to be released or a reserve held, it also says how much: "US$ 250.00 is still pending or held: it becomes available on its release date." With refunds waiting for balance, it says how much was reserved for them.
- Under How much you want to receive, type the amount or click Withdraw the maximum.
- Check the Payout fee (0.25% + US$ 0.25) and what is Taken from balance (the amount plus the fee).
- Confirm payout. You see "Payout requested — US$ 100.00 is on its way to your account. Follow it in the Payments tab."
The history lives under Monetization › Payments › Payout history, with each payout's date, status and amount.
When to pay out
| Pace | Fees in the month | Good for |
|---|---|---|
| Once a month | One fee | Most communities: a single fee |
| Once a week | Four fees: the 0.25% plus 4 × US$ 0.25 | Those who need cash during the month |
| After each big sale | 0.25% + US$ 0.25 per payout | Events and launches |
Since the fee is per payout, letting the amount build up and paying out less often leaves more money in the community.
What happens after the request
- The amount and the fee leave Available and go into the statement as Payout Requested and Payout fee.
- The request is Pending, then Processing, while the transfer is made to the approved account.
- Completed: the money reaches the account, and the statement gets a Payout Completed line.
- Failed: the amount goes back to the balance (Payout Failed in the statement), and you check the bank details before requesting again.
The money only goes to the account registered in the community, in the name of the approved account holder. Nobody on the Memberfy team requests a payout on your behalf.

Frequently asked questions
How long does the money take to arrive? Follow the status under Payments.
Why is the maximum payout lower than the available amount? Because it already takes off the payout fee and, if there are any, the refunds waiting for balance: that amount is reserved to give back to buyers.
Can I pay out the money from yesterday's sale? Not yet: every sale, with any method, becomes available 30 days after payment; on a card sale in installments, each installment on its own date. See Balance and statement.
What is the minimum payout? US$ 10.00 (R$ 10.00 in reais).
Can I get paid before the waiting period? No. Memberfy doesn't advance receivables: the money from each sale becomes available on its release date, 30 days after payment.
Can I pay out to another account? A payout always goes to the registered and approved account. To change the account, edit it under Settings › Payouts: it goes through approval again.
Are there automatic transfers? No. Money only leaves the community when an owner or admin requests a payout.
