# Scheduling

> The space where people in the community offer their hours (mentoring, classes, appointments) and members book them. Who offers, agenda approval, free hours and hours paid in credits, search by person, the host's page, My bookings, calendar invite and reminder.

The **Scheduling** module lets a member **book time with a person in the community**: a mentoring session, a class, an appointment, a chat. Each person who offers hours has their own **agenda** (the weekly hours they are available); whoever wants to book searches by person, picks a free time and books it. It runs on the same core as [Bookings](/espacos/reservas): the difference is that what gets booked here is the time of **a person**, the **host**.

## What it's for

| Community | Scheduling |
|---|---|
| Mentoring community | Each mentor opens their agenda and mentees book 30 minutes |
| School | Teachers offer office hours, for credits |
| Coworking | Members offer consulting hours to each other, for free |
| Association | The board sees members at fixed hours |

## How it works

### Who offers hours

In the space settings, **Who can offer hours** picks:

| Choice | Who has an agenda in the space |
|---|---|
| **Owner and admins** (default) | Owner and admin |
| **Team** | Owner, admin, moderator and finance |
| **All members of the space** | Any member with access to the space |

Two options complete the rules:

- **Approve before listing.** A member's agenda only shows in the search after the owner or the admin approves it.
- **Allow paid hours.** The owner and the admin can charge credits for their own hours. Turning it off doesn't cancel what is already booked, and with the option off **no hour is charged**, even if it has a price band.

**The hours a member offers are always free**, whatever the setting. Changing these options doesn't cancel existing bookings. Whoever loses the required role (or access to the space) keeps the bookings already made, but the agenda leaves the search and nobody books new times.

### A person's agenda

Whoever offers opens the **Offer your hours** tab and **Create my agenda**. The agenda has:

| Tab | What it sets |
|---|---|
| **Weekly hours** | The days and hours they are available, on the community's clock. With no hours, nobody can book |
| **Exceptions** | Blocks and extra hours |
| **Details and rules** | Agenda name, description, **Online link** (goes in the email of whoever books), session length, shortest and longest session, break, minimum notice, how many days ahead, cancellation window and **Taking bookings** (off, pauses the agenda) |
| **Price** | Price bands in credits (only owner and admin, and only with **Allow paid hours**) |
| **Who booked** | The bookings made with you |

The agenda's status shows as **Shown in the search**, **Not in the search** (waiting for approval or taken off the list) or **Paused**.

### What the member does

The space has the **People** and **My bookings** tabs and, for those who offer, **Offer your hours**; for the owner and the admin, **Approvals**.

1. In **People**, search by name, day, window (**From** and **Until**) and duration. The search lists **only people with free time**, with the next times, the cost in credits (or **Free**) and your balance.
2. Open the **person's page** to see the grid of times per day and the next free time.
3. Pick the time and **Book**. The booking is confirmed; if the time costs credits, the cost is debited and the invite arrives by email.

In **My bookings**, **As a client** lists what you booked and **As a host**, what people booked with you. Rescheduling and canceling work as in [Bookings](/espacos/reservas#rescheduling), with the same [credit](/monetizacao/creditos) rules.

### Approvals

With **Approve before listing** on, new member agendas wait under **Approvals** (and the **Manage scheduling** bar shows how many). The owner and the admin **approve** (the agenda shows in the search) or **take it off the list** (the agenda leaves the search; bookings already made stay, and it can be approved again).

### No-show, emails and reminder

The host, the team, or both, can mark the **no-show** of whoever didn't show up, with the same credit rule as in Bookings. The confirmation, reschedule and cancellation emails and the **reminder 1 hour before** go to whoever booked **and** to the host, with the calendar invite (the event is updated and canceled in the person's calendar). The invite comes from the Memberfy address and shows only the host's name.

## In the API and MCP

The routes live under `/api/scheduling` (settings, host search, host page, approvals) and booking the time uses `/api/bookings`. See [Tools · Bookings and Scheduling](/mcp/ferramentas-reservas).
